The fabrication of dentures is a service that many patients take to restore the functionality and aesthetics of their teeth, as it is used to restore the anatomy of one or more teeth.
Dental prostheses are made of different materials such as acrylic or porcelain and therefore look very realistic.

Objectives of dentures:
The job of dentures is to restore the physiological functions of the bit, such as chewing and swallowing food, and avoiding pronunciation problems.
With the loss of teeth, the remaining teeth tend to move, causing chewing problems, preventing adequate food intake, obstructing proper oral hygiene, and placing the patient at greater risk of disease. For this reason, replacing missing teeth is essential for maintaining oral and general health.
Restoring dental aesthetics is another reason to carry out this treatment.
Types of dentures:
There are different types of dentures: full dentures when all teeth of one or both jaws are being replaced, and partial dentures if only a few teeth of a jaw need to be replaced. These can be fixed or removable prostheses.
Fixed prostheses
Fixed prostheses cannot be removed by the patient. These can be:
- Crowns or fixed bridges: thesecan be used to restore one or more teeth. They are cemented onto the previously ground teeth. The crowns can be made of metal ceramic or zirconium. The latter offer several advantages, such as better compatibility (biocompatibility) and aesthetics.
- Fixed prostheses on implants: The implant-supported prostheses consist of a prosthetic structure that is fastened with screws or cemented on implants.
- Hybrid prostheses on implants: a combination of fixed and removable parts of the denture. They are recommended in patients with significant bone resorption.
Removable dentures
Removable prostheses can be removed by the patient himself. They are the most commonly used option in patients who are unable to insert implants because they do not have the necessary requirements.
There are different types:
- Partial denture: This type of denture is used to replace some teeth and is most often chosen as an immediate denture after the extraction of one or more teeth during the healing period. This prosthesis is attached to the remaining neighboring teeth with clamps.
- Full denture: If all teeth of a jaw are missing, the teeth are replaced by a full denture, which is usually made of acrylic (plastic).
- Partial prosthesis with special anchors: This type of prosthesis replaces the missing teeth and is fixed with special anchoring elements, such as, for example, pushed, on the remaining teeth.
Telescopic dentures
In our practice, we specialize in the manufacture of telescopic prostheses, a type of prosthesis in which the traditional anchorage has been replaced by a more modern double-cap system.
A technique based on the principle of double crowns. The system dates from 1958 and was developed by Körber.
We believe that the double crown telescopic prosthesis with the electroplating method is the only one that offers all the advantages to produce a partial and/or full denture with the best hold.
